Dr. Tuvia Book is an international speaker, educator, guide, and IDF combat medic who brings a rare combination of frontline experience, scholarship and storytelling to audiences around the world.
Born in London and raised in the UK and South Africa, he moved to Israel at 17 and volunteered for the IDF, serving in an elite combat unit. Since October 2023, he has returned to active reserve duty as part of a combat search and rescue unit, earning a prestigious IDF battalion award and recognition from President Isaac Herzog.
He holds a doctorate in education and is the author and illustrator of several acclaimed works on Jewish history and Israel, including For the Sake of Zion, Jewish Journeys, as well as his recent memoir, Heroes of PALMAR, which chronicles his first-hand experiences and innovations in combat medicine.
A passionate and highly experienced educator, Dr. Book has spent decades teaching and guiding students, leaders, and communities from around the English-speaking world. He is also a sought-after tour educator in Israel, known for bringing history and identity vividly to life.
He has lectured extensively across North America, Europe, South Africa and Australia and his work has been featured on leading international media and podcasts.
